Auto Insurance Claims

Your insurance company wants your vehicle repaired and for you to be completely satisfied with their claims service.  You are not required to use the facility selected by your insurer or that of the other party involved in the accident.  You may have the automotive repair shop of your choice make the repairs. At Rennen Imports Inc. we do insurance work, but we are not a Direct Repair Facility (DRP).

Direct Repair Shops (DRP) are auto repair businesses that your insurance company recommends or owns. The body shop gets referrals for doing it for less and saving money for the insurer.  The customer may experience a quicker repair as the shop does not require approval from the insurance company, allowing them to start the repair sooner and proceed once addition damage is found after teardown. The insurance company typically does not inspect the vehicle to ensure the work is to industry standards.  The auto body shop DRP realtionship can be a conflict of interest for collision repair facilities. May times the collision repair facility receives incentives that do not allow for quality repairs to be done to your vehicle, such as volume referrals for the use of lower quality parts; by using aftermarket or salvage (used) parts instead of Glossary Link original equipment (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Porsche factory parts) replacement parts or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.

We are unbiased when we have only one client- YOU.  You chose us; you are our customer, not the insurance company. We will represent your interests, you are in control; our goal is your satisfaction.

When you bring your vehicle to Rennen Imports Inc., for collision repair you sign an Authorization to Tear Down since only you, the owner, can authorize repair work on your vehicle. We then write a detailed estimate based upon the damage behind the vehicle panels and visible exterior damage. Our quote will be based upon Original Equipment replacement parts, your car is a daily necessity and an investment; accordingly, we choose only quality parts and materials for your collision repair.  We will arrange for an appraiser to inspect your car.  We then contact your insurance company and provide them with our estimate.  Based upon your particular policy your carrier may choose to not to pay for Original Equipment parts when an alternative is available.  We will work with the insurance carrier (Progressive, USAA, Allstate, Geico, Esurance, State Farm, MetLife, Liberty Mutual, Farmers Bureau, etc.)  we will assist you in making a claim and contact the insurance company throughout the repair.  We will arrange for a low-cost car rental, if necessary. And most importantly, we will work with the insurer to get the repairs done as quickly as possible and right.
